STEM CELL THERAPY FOR SKIN DAMAGE & WRINKLES

SKIN REJUVENATION WITH STEM CELLS

The cell renewal process slows down as we age, and the first signs of ageing become visible, especially on delicate facial skin. Cell breakdown and renewal occur at different rates. This process cannot be stopped, but can be visibly slowed down with modern stem cell therapy. One of the aims is to build up the lost subcutaneous fatty tissue which improves the elasticity and flexibility of skin on the face, décolleté and neck, as well as promoting hair growth and improving hair structure.

SKIN RENEWAL

Stem cells are required to activate cell renewal, promote blood flow and repair tissue. For skin injuries, such as cuts or sunburn (UV light), stem cells begin to strengthen cells that have been partially damaged and replace the cells that have been entirely destroyed. Stem cells are therefore important in skin renewal.

HOW CAN STEM CELLS IMPROVE THE SKIN?

Stem cells renew and nourish the subcutis and cutis. Stem cells used for renewing skin cells are found in the skin’s basal cell layer. The important mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), which form the subcutaneous fatty tissue, are in the subcutis. The term “mesenchymal” is derived from the Ancient Greek terms “mesos”, meaning “middle”, and “enkhuma”, meaning “infusion”. This term actually describes the location in the “middle” of the outer and inner skin. The “middle” is a very large area: When assessed considering both the terminology and cellular biology, it includes, for example, fatty tissue as well as bone and cartilage. Firstly, MSCs divide and then they form subcutaneous fatty tissue. This property is essential to protect and strengthen vital areas of skin. MSCs also form subcutaneous tissue, which keeps the skin fresh, firm and looking young.
